GEEKS UNITE! IT’S CES TIME!

Very excited about this week. Each year I have a pilgrimage out west. For 12 years it was the Sundance Film Festival. After my fill of pretentiousness and over-the-top parties with wanna-bes (yours truly included in full disclosure.)

Last year I changed the agenda and started to ingest CES- The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
This is the place where all the new tech stuff is debuted for the year. Last year, it was 3D TV. I called it a fad and it look like time might prove that. I did

see a Glasses-less 3D Television out there, but we are FAR away of perfection for that thing. It’ll happen though.
So, I’m asking, what are some gadgets/tech crap you’re looking forward to in 2011. Let me know. I’d love to see what I need to be on the lookout for.

Rock forth, Mitch

  1. We are looking at upgrading from our 7 yr old Sony Wega
50inch tv. Debating over 3d and led/lcd vs plasma. Your thoughts?
We need a less reflective screen due to windows.

    • First, how old is your son? If hes younger and you find that he won’t be loading it up with software, the netbooks are the way to go. Look for a fast processor as that is the key to a great computer. Nothing is worse than waiting for a program to load. The Wega is a great computer and if youre getting a deal on it, he should like it.

  2. i CAN’T WAIT FOR THE “PROJECTOR” ANYTHING! (PHONE, PAD, ETC.) WOO-HOO!

I COULD NEVER IMAGINE SURFING THE WEB OR, MUCH LESS, WATCHING A MOVIE ON THAT TINY LITTLE SCREEN.

I’M 47,MY EYES ARE PERFECT, BUT I CANNOT STAND TO SQUINT AT TINY LITTLE SCREENS! (ANY MOVIE WORTH WATCHING WOULD SUCK ON A TINY SCREEN!

THANKS FOR LETTING ME GET THAT OFF MY CHEST, MITCH SORRY ABOUT CAPS, TOO!! NOT awake,,,

    TampaDawn
