How to block Facebook game requests on your iPhone

fbI hope I don’t start off sounding like Andy Rooney here, but have you ever noticed you get A LOT of game and app requests on Facebook.  How annoying are they?! Especially when you’re main means of Facebookin’ is on your iPhone.

Mitch is here to help you out.   I’ve got the simple instructions on how to block all those annoying game requests that you never wanted and certainly didn’t want bothering you.

Here’s what you do to block all Facebook game/app requests on your iPhone and even your iPad:

First, launch the the Facebook app
Tap on “More” at the bottom
Scroll down to the bottom and tap on “Settings”
Tap on “Notifications”.
Tap on “Mobile Push” under the How You Get Notifications section.
Uncheck Application Requests and Application Invites.

It’s that easy.  Finally gone!!! Those game requests are the bane of my internet existence!

[important]Now, PLEASE keep in mind that this process will block requests from ALL apps, not just games. [/important]

You’ll still get notifications for apps you have already added. You will see a decrease, if not a total annihilation, of all game requests. This should make you happy because it sure does make me feel that way.

I also need to mention that this is only for your iPhone and iPad which means you’ll still get those annoying requests when you’re using your computer.

Rock forth, Mitch
